Iran and Russia have agreed to simplify visa regime for tourist groups

Almaty. November 23. Silkroadnews – Iran and Russia have signed an agreement on simplification of visa regime for tourist groups, IrTAG reports.

The agreement was signed by the directors of two countries’ consular departments Ali Chegini and Evgeniy Ivanov in the course the fifth meeting of the Iranian-Russian Commission on consular cooperation held in Tehran on Tuesday.
The sides spoke for the continuity of the dialogue between the consular services of two countries.

The intergovernmental agreement on simplification of mutual travel of hotel categories of citizens of Iran and Russian Federation signed on November 23, 2015 came into force on February 6.

The document provides for the facilitated procedure for obtaining visas for business circles representatives, as well as for persons participating in scientific, cultural and artistic activities, teachers and students, tourists.
