Iran and Russia marked the similarity of positions on the Middle East situation

Silkroadnews - Iran and Russia should use the existing opportunities for further expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation in resolving the various conflicts in the Middle East and the world as a whole. This was discussed during the meeting of Vice Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abdullahiyan in the Moscow on Monday, transmits the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
The Iranian diplomat pointed the similarity of the positions of Tehran and the Kremlin on many issues of global and regional policy. "It is great that in addition to stable relationships, our countries have the opportunity to maintain ongoing consultations on regional and international issues," - said the deputy head of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the meeting.
He also noted a "reasonable policy" performed ny the heads of two states on the Syrian issues, adding that the meeting with his Russian counterpart, "provides an excellent opportunity for discussion of the crisis in Syria and Iraq".
In turn, Mikhail Bogdanov said that the visit of the Iranian diplomat to Russian capital created fertile ground for the continuation of mutual consultations on a wide range of issues, adding that the parties need to agree on the steps taken in actions in a rapidly changing situation in the Middle East.
