Iran and Russia signed a memorandum on cooperation in oil research and development

Almaty. December 13. Silkroadnews – Iran and Russia signed a 23-points memorandum of cooperation in the field of oil and energy, Trend reports.

The signing of the memorandum took place in Tehran with the participation of Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov and Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia.

The document covers the cooperation in oil exploration and extraction, development of oil fields, petrochemical production swaps, gas deliveries cooperation and cooperation in the sphere of oil facilities production technologies with participation of Iranian manufacturers.

On Tuesday Tehran will host the meeting of the permanent Russian–Iranian commission on trade and economic cooperation under the chairmanship of Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Iranian Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi.
