Iran and the EU launched a project on cooperation in nuclear safety
Almaty. July 17. Silkroadnews – Iran and the European Union have recently launched a joint project on cooperation in the field of nuclear safety, Chinese news agency Xinhua reports.
“The head of Iran’s nuclear safety center Hojjatollah Salehi and the director of the EU’s nuclear safety unit Olivier Luyckx, who arrived in Tehran on a visit, officially announced the start of US$2.85-milion joint project on nuclear safety cooperation”, the report said.
The project is said to be a part of US$5.7 million cooperation document signed by Iran and the European Union in 2016 and aimed at strengthening Iran’s capabilities in all the fields of nuclear security, including construction of a nuclear safety center.
