Iran and Turkey discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

Almaty. January 22. Silkroadnews - Iran and Turkey are quite capable to increase the volume of bilateral trade to $30 billion a year, reports IrTAG.
This opinion was expressed during the meeting of the speaker of Majlis (parliament) Ali Larijani and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul. The sides expressed mutual interest in further development of multifaceted relations between the two countries in various fields of bilateral cooperation, especially in energy, transport, trade, industrial production, etc. It was noted that in relations between the two countries there are quite a lot of potential for a significant expansion and deepening of the Iranian-Turkish cooperation, which, unfortunately, is used by the parties not fully.
At the meeting, was stressed the importance of timely and quality implementation of bilateral agreements reached last summer during the first meeting of the joint Iranian-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council.
Meanwhile, touching upon the recent events in the Middle East, the head of Iran's Parliament and President of Turkey pointed to the need for joint efforts to rapprochement between Tehran and Ankara on topical issues of regional agenda in order to effectively promote measures to ensure peace and stability in the region background of unprecedented growth of threats from terrorism and extremism.
Recall Larijani arrived in Turkey to participate in the 10th meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Istanbul from 20 to 22 January.
