Beijing. Jul 5. Silkroadnews - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (a special branch of Iran’s Armed Forces) is ready to block the Strait of Hormuz for oil transportation to other countries in case the U.S. continues its sanctions towards Iran, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports with reference to Reuters on Wednesday.
Earlier, Iran’s representative to OPEC Hossein Kazempour Ardebili said, the U.S. sanctions banning the export of Iranian oil will eventually harm America itself, and the U.S. citizens will pay for the policy by the President Trump.
On July 2, Brian Hook, the State Department’s director of policy planning, said the U.S. is going to zero Iranian oil revenues through energy sanctions, which, he noted, will be resumed on November 4.
