Iran annually exports pistachios worth more than $1 billion

Silkroadnews - Annual exports of pistachios from Iran in terms of money excess of $1 billion, transmits the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG), with reference to the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad Iran Mohammad Ali Tahmasbi. At the same time, according to the deputy minister, the bulk of the Iranian pistachio exports came to China, India and the countries of the Caspian region
As noted, M. Tahmasbi announced that data on the ground pistachios festival, which took place last Wednesday in Damgan Semnan province in the north-eastern Iran.
According to official data, the total area of pistachio plantations in Iran is about 400 thousand hectares, which meets annually to 360 thousand tons of raw pistachios.
