Iran brought oil production to 2.78 million barrels a day

Almaty. March 18. Silkroadnews - At the end of February this year, Iran has increased its volume of oil production to 2.78 million barrels a day, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
According to the latest information of OPEC in February, the participating countries of the oil cartel cut daily oil production by 137.6 thousand barrels and extracted a little more than 30 million barrels of oil a day. In this case, 9 member countries reduced oil production, and 3 - increased, including Iran.
Iran in February increased its oil production by 7.6 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous month and brought the figure up to 2 million 778 thousand barrels.
It is noted that the greatest reduction in oil production in February of this year is observed in Iraq by 78.4 thousand barrels per day to 3.3 million barrels, and increase - in Saudi Arabia by 37 thousand barrels per day to 9.68 million barrels.
Apart from Iran and Saudi Arabia, oil production has increased in Kuwait (by 25 thousand barrels per day).
Meanwhile, as stated earlier Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, in case of cancellation of international sanctions, Iran could increase oil exports by 1 million barrels a day.
According to the International Energy Agency last month Iran supplied the international market 1.2 million barrels of oil per day.
