Almaty. December 28. Silkroadnews – Pakistan does not exclude Iran joining the format of Russia-Pakistan-China in resolving the conflict in Afghanistan, Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said, IrTAG writes.

Earlier on Tuesday, he took part in the three-way consultations of Russia-China-Pakistan on the Afghan settlement held in Moscow.

“Iran is a neighbor to both Pakistan and Iran. Three million Afghan refugees have been staying in Iran for decades ... There are clashes observed in the border regions. We believe Iran has perfectly legitimate reasons to play its role and have its word to be heard in the conflict. Today (at the three-way consultations in Moscow) we have decided to work together and invite the representatives of Afghanistan and other states, including Iran. Iran may play a positive role here”, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said.
