Iran exported gas condensate and petrochemical products worth $25 billion

Almaty. February 6. Silkroadnews - Iran increases export of gas condensate and petrochemical products on the background of a significant reduction of earnings from oil sales abroad, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Friday.
So, for the 10 months of the current Iranian year Islamic Republic earned on exports of gas condensate and petrochemicals products about $25 billion, which serves as a kind of "safety cushion" on the background of the rapid collapse of world oil prices.
Press Secretary Muhammad Baqir Novbaht noted that gas condensate sales grew at annual rate by 41% and amomunted to $12.1 billion. Sales of petrochemical products to foreign countries amounted to 39% and amounted to over $12.8 billion, said Novbaht, speaking at a meeting of the Supreme Council for the promotion of non-oil exports of Iran.
According to him, these datas show an "outstanding achievement" of the Iranian nation, especially given the fact that the Islamic Republic is under constant pressure and sanctions for the past 36 years".
Meanwhile, according to the customs datas of Iran, the country's non-oil exports for the first 10 months of 1393 Iranian year totaled to $42.5 billion. According to the official forecast by the end of the year Islamic republic intends to increase this figure to $61 billion.
At the beginning of 2013 US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimated proven natural gas reserves of Iran at the level of 33.6 trillion cubic meters, which puts the country in second place in the world after Russia.
