Iran has discovered reserves of shale oil and gas
Almaty. April 26. Silkroadnews – Iran joined the list of countries that have their own reserves of shale oil and shale gas, the representative of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry Mohammad Reza Kamali, IrTAG reports.
According to him, huge reserves of gas hydrates have been discovered under the sea of Oman. In addition, the authorities have almost completed the project on shale gas discovery in the province Luriston located on the west of the country. The unconventional gas reserves have already been discovered there.
Similar exploration works are carried out in the southern province of Huziston keeping the largest oil field in Iran. Thus, according to the statement by M. Kamali, Iran has a great potential in terms of oil and shale gas.
