Almaty. September 3. Silkroadnews - Iran has put into operation the first in the country Pumped Storage Hydroelectric power plants (HPP) "Siah-Bishesh" worth $435 million, reports Trend.
According to information, the new hydropower plant will produce during the hours of maximum electricity consumption 1040 MW, and in the period of minimum consumption - 960 MW. The complex includes two new hydroelectric dams.
"The new hydro power plant is a proof that Iranian experts can implement large-scale projects", - said in a statement.
