Iran in 2015 intends to start gas production at 4 new sites of South Pars field
Almaty. March 18. Silkroadnews - Iran plans to start gas production at 4 new sites of South Pars field in 2015, reports IrTAG.
"Commissioning of the 12th phase of South Pars gas field indicates the broad possibilities of Oil and Gas Industry of Iran", - said the deputy oil minister of Iran, Director General of the national oil company Rukniddin Dzhavadi.
According to him, currently the company is actively working on the development of all outstanding phases of the South Pars field. At the same time, as noted by the Deputy Minister, on today's agenda is the question of early commissioning of the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th phase. If the rate of gas production stays the same, work on these four areas will begin in the first half of the coming Iranian year (Iranian new year begins March 21).
R.Dzhavadi said that Iranian experts have fully mastered the design, construction and operation of gas installations and gas well drilling, and now they have the necessary technologies used in the industry.
The Iranian part of the South Pars field accounts for 50% of total gas reserves of the country. The government has divided it for 29 sites. Gas production on them should lead various companies, including some of the largest global giants.
It is noted that, 15th and 16th sections were given to the corporation "Khatam al-Anbiya", which belong to the elite Iranian military unit of the Revolutionary Guards.
