Iran increased imports of Kazakh wheat in January-May almost for 5 times

Astana. July 9. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan increased exports of wheat and mixture of wheat and rye to Iran in January-May 2014 to 505.9 thousand tons valued at $133.4 million, up 384.4% increase in quantity and 289% increase in cost, than in the same period in 2013, reports KazTAG.
As noted in the published data of Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance, excluding the countries of the Customs Union, Kazakhstan increased wheat exports in January-May 2014 to 1928.3 thousand tons ($ 454.7 million), which is 72.2% more quantity and 46.2% more in cost than the same period in 2013.
The largest buyers of Kazakh wheat, in addition to Iran, were: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China.
