Iran intends to continue the development of nuclear cooperation with Russia - the president of Iran
Almaty. November 24. Silkroadnews - Iran will develop a fruitful cooperation with Russia in the nuclear field. This was announced on Monday by the president of the Islamic Republic Hassan Rouhani after talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived in Iran on a working visit.
H.Rouhani believes that his country's ties with Russia are developing and moving to a new level. According to him, the visit of the Russian President "allow more time to discuss the issues of cooperation, as well as regional and international agenda", and "signing of bilateral documents show that the relations between Iran and Russia are developing and entering a new phase".
The Iranian president also noted that the two countries have plans for cooperation in the energy sector, in other areas of economic and trade cooperation and to develop cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
According to him, Moscow and Tehran have "decided to develop cooperation on regional issues, in particular, in the sphere of the fight against terrorism".
As noted, in turn, the Russian president, Russia and Iran strengthen cooperation in the framework of the international group on Syria and the fight against terrorism.
Putin also said that on Monday he informed the Iranian side of the Russian anti-terrorist operation in Syria. According to him, without the support of Iran, this kind of operation would be impossible.
He also said that Russia will help Iran to convert nuclear facilities to manufacture products for scientific purposes.
He recalled that the first unit of NPP "Bushehr" has reached full capacity, and work began on the construction of 2 and 3 units.
