Iran intends to intensify oil exploration in the Caspian Sea

Almaty. May 27. Silkroadnews - Iran plans to intensify oil exploration in the Caspian Sea, reports Trend with reference to Fars News.
"For the discovery of new oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea, in addition to the previously discovered site Sardar-e Jangal, Iran has started exploration work on the offshore block 8-1. A new exploration well will be drilled to a depth of 5 thousand meters, while the two previous wells in the area Sardar-e Jangal were drilled to a depth of 2.5 thousand and 3 thousand meters, respectively",- says the publication on Wednesday.
It is noted that all oil exploration in the Caspian Sea in the Iranian sector conducted solely by Iranian companies.
In the near future international restrictions on the import of Iranian oil may be withdrawn under the agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.
