Almaty. August 22. Silkroadnews - Iran is taking steps in significant increase of its network of sales offices abroad in order to eliminate the country's external economic relations to a qualitatively new level, transmits the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
Director of trade development Waliullah Afhamirad said that in the near future it is planned to increase the number of trading advisors representing his organization outside of Iran, from the current 11 to 30. According to him, the candidates for the position from the remaining 19 countries have been selected, and soon they will leave the place of work.
B. Afhamirad pointed the need to develop the country's production for export-oriented products, and noted that European countries are interested in strengthening trade ties with Iran.
He also stressed that in case of cancellation of Western sanctions against Iranian banks and financial institutions, trade volumes and foreign economic relations of Iran will increase substantially. He expressed the hope that the results achieved in Geneva in November last year in an agreement between Iran and the "six" of international mediators will bear fruits.
B. Afhamirad also mentioned the plans by the authorities of the Islamic Republic in a twofold increase in the volume of imported cars in Iran. According to him, this measure will promote competition and improve the quality of domestically produced vehicles.
He assured that the reasons for concern about the planned growth in import of cars does not exist, adding that in this regard, the local automakers will not have any problems, because by the end of the year, the import will be slightly less than 12% of the total vehicles produced by automotive industry in Iran.
