Almaty. November 2. Silkroadnews - The malicious intent of the United States is the biggest challenge in implementation of the JCPOA, said the Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs of Iran Abbas Araqchi, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) says referring to the Islamic Republic News Agency.
“With its ill will, the US has always acted against Iran's interests in the international deal”, Abbas Araqchi said opening the Mejlis (parliament) session.
Being also the head of the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters to monitor implementation of the nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Araqchi noted the U.S. lack of commitment that has increased in recent months with Donald Trump taking office.
Araqchi, who attended the Mejlis session to discuss the 7th report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the JCPOA, said, the document is almost entirely devoted to the U.S. hostility, violation of its obligations, as well as delays and obstacles in implementation of the nuclear deal.
Since the announcement of the “Implementation Day” of the JCPOA on January 16, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran is obliged to provide the Mejlis with the reports on deal implementation every three months. Mejlis discusses reports every six months.
