Iran opened first human cell production center in West Asia

Beijing. May 17. Silkroadnews - The first center for the production of human cells was opened in Iran with opening ceremony attended by Iran’s first vice president Es’hag Jahangiri, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported.
The first Human Cell Production Plant was created jointly by Barakat Pharmaceutical Company and the Royan Research Institute, which manufactures products for treatment of various cardiovascular, dermatological and bone diseases.
The technology for production of fibroblast cells will be launched as of the third year of the plant operation.
The construction of this industrial and production unit started in June 2013. The center created new opportunities for employment for people seeking for job in the country.
About 500 billion rials has been spent to launch a pilot project of this industrial plant, which is located on an area of 1300 square meters.
