Iran plans to invest $40 billion in gas industry

Almaty. December 29. Silkroadnews - Iran plans to invest in the gas sector $40 billion after the lifting of sanctions, transfers IrTAG.
At the moment, Iran is able to produce every day more than 700 million cubic meters of natural gas and investments and new projects will enable the country to bring this figure up to 1.2 billion cubic meters per day.
At present, Iran annually exports about 10 billion cubic meters of gas, and with the increase of its production it will be able to enter new markets in Asia and Europe.
The largest importer of Iranian gas is Turkey, and small amounts of the gas is also supplied to Armenia and the Republic of Nakhichevan (Azerbaijan).
