Almaty. August 25. Silkroadnews – Iran reached visa abolition agreement with Armenia, Georgia and Turkey, Georgia Online portal writes.
«Iran's Foreign Ministry is interested in a number of points to be taken by several countries, including Azerbaijan, to cancel tourist visas», the publication says with reference to the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi.
With this the spokesman noted that the visa abolition issue is not on the agenda with Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijan promised to facilitate visa regime for Iranian citizens.
As for removal of the ban on travel to Turkey imposed by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, B. Qasemi said the ministry recommended tour operators not to send Iranian tourists to Turkey against the background of a complicated situation in the field of the country's security until the peace and stability are restored there.
«You cannot block all the roads in the country because of the threat of explosion», the spokesman said, adding that Iran «cannot officially impose bans and provoke losses to the tourism industry and tour operators».
