Iran’s non-oil export to Indonesia grew 282%
Beijing. May 31. Silkroadnews - The reports by the customs administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran show, in year 1396 (according to the Iranian calendar, March 2016 - March 2017), the value of non-oil exports from Iran to Indonesia reached $661 million, a 282% increase compared to the previous year, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
Most of the exports were metals and related products, including iron and steel - $278 million, Mehr News Agency wrote.
Among other important categories of export goods to Indonesia there were mineral products, including fuel, mineral oils, mineral wax worth of $362 million.
Export of sulfur, gypsum, plastics, carpets, fruits and chemicals also increased compared to the previous year.
The report, published at the end of 1396, shows that Indonesia ranked 10th among Iranian exporters, having climbed 16 lines compared to the previous year.
The Republic of Indonesia, located in South-East Asia, is the world’s fourth most populated country with more than 261 million people.
