Almaty. January 26. Silkroadnews - Iran declared the impossibility of supplying chicken and eggs to Russia due to unprofitability, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
"To date, exports of chicken meat and eggs from the Islamic republic to the Russian Federation is not possible, because the customs duties and costs associated with transportation, remain prohibitive", - says the publication.
As explained by the Secretary of the trade union center poultry og Iran Farzad Talokesh, in this context, because of the high prices no one kilogram of our products will be delivered to the Russian market".
He also recalled that Iran was recently visited by a delegation from Russia for talks on the issue, but the common denominator parties failed to come. He added that high transport costs and serves are the main obstacles to supply the Russian market.
