Iran successfully tested the space launch vehicle

Almaty. July 28. Silkroadnews – Iran has successfully tested the Simorgh space launch vehicle that can be used to send satellites to an orbit, KazTAG reports referring to the Russian newspaper Vedomosti.
“The Imam Khomeini Space Centre was officially opened with the successful test of the Simorgh space launch vehicle. The Simorgh can place a satellite weighing up to 250 kg to an orbit of 500 km”, Reuters informs.
According to the Iranian state television, the successful test of Simorgh, also known as Safir-2, once again confirms that Iran has the technology of creating intercontinental ballistic missiles with liquid propellant jet engines.
Simorgh rocket, as reported, is 27m long and has a launch mass of 87 tonnes. Its first stage has been created on the basis of the North Korean carrier “Ynha” with the Iranian rocket “Safir” as the second stage. The first suborbital test flight of Simorgh took place on April 19, 2016.
