Almaty. November 22. Silkroadnews - Iran will increase oil exports to Europe, Tasnim News Agency reported.
“An Iranian deputy oil minister unveiled plans for a rise in crude exports to Europe by finding new customers. Marzieh Shahdaei said the Oil Ministry is negotiating with new European customers as part of policies to increase crude oil exports to the continent,” the report reads.
According to the official, Europe’s share in Iran’s oil export is expected to grow after completion of business talks.
Reportedly, transition by some Asian consumers to reduce oil imports from Iran would in no case spoil the country’s export market.
The export of Iranian oil has almost doubled after the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the nuclear agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the U.S., Britain, France and Germany) in January 2016.
Iran ranks fourth in the world in terms of oil reserves and the second largest in terms of gas reserves and is among the world’s top ten oil producers.
