Iran will provide a new air defense system of local production

Almaty. July 29. Silkroadnews - Iran's armed forces represent a new development of the defense industry of the country in the field of air defense, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to the commander of the air base, Khatam al-Anbiya Farzad Ismaili, a new air defense system will be demonstrated during a military parade to commemorate the eight-year war with Iraq, which will be held on September 22 this year in celebration of the Holy Week of Iran Defense. Information on more detailed characteristics of this system has not been disclosed.
It is worth noting that in recent years the country's defense industry has made significant progress in the development and production of military equipment and weapons. So, in early June of this year, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has taken on alert radar system "Ghadir", which is capable of detecting flying objects created by stealth technologies.
AFB Khatam al-Anbiya was reorganized into a separate structure from the Air Force of Iran in 2008. The size of its military structure is more than 18 thousand soldiers and officers. The duties of the air base is to monitor and control the entire network of military ground-based air defense of the Islamic republic.
