Iran will soon begin production of anti-ship cruise missiles

Almaty. August 22. Silkroadnews – Iranian Military-Industrial Complex will soon start production of anti-ship cruise missiles, TASS reports.

«In the near future we will get supersonic sea-based anti-ship cruise missiles. For the recent years we have achieved significant progress in rocket technology development allowing to improve the Iranian missiles characteristics 2-3 times. First of all, the issue is about the guidance system, speed and radius of action», Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said when visited the exhibition of achievements of the Iranian defense industry.

According to him, more than 3150 companies are currently operating in the Iranian defense industry, of which 360 work in the research field and nearly 360-370 work in the field of high technologies projects.

The exhibition of the Iranian defense industry achievements held in Tehran on the occasion of Iran's Defense Industry Day showed «Bavar-373» anti-aircraft missile system of local production, which, according to the Iranian sources, is an analogue of the Russian S-300, as well as Iran's first turbojet «Ouji».
