Iranian parliamentarian condemns accusation of Islamic Revolution Guard Corps of terrorism
Almaty. October 11. Silkroadnews – Iran’s parliament chairman Alaeddin Boroujerdi condemns the accusation of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps of terrorism, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reported referring to Islamic Republic News Agency.
“A senior Iranian lawmaker condemned any attempt to accuse Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of terrorism and said the force will, as before, counter US’ adventurism and terrorist activities in the region,” the report said.
At the same time, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis (parliament of Iran), stated that “any terrorist measure against the IRGC is considered meddling with Iran’s national security and is strongly condemned.”
“By passing the anti-US’ adventurism and terrorist activities bill, Majlis showed that, whenever dealing with national interest and regional security, it coherently supports all the national organization, especially the IRGC,” the agency quoted Boroujerdi saying.
According to media reports, some hard-line politicians in Washington are trying to declare the IRGC as a terrorist group.
