Iranian scientists have developed software for managing stress
Beijing. June 5. Silkroadnews - Iranian researchers have developed software which can manage the level of consciousness and stress by measuring brain signal, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
The software was developed by researchers at the University of Tarbiat Modaress.
“This device is a receiver of brain signals, measures brain signals using an electrode, and sends the data to the software via Bluetooth,” the agency quoted Farzaneh Yousefi, CEO of the developer company.
According to researchers, the new method has advantages over the previously used methods and can be used for Android system, Iran Daily writes.
“The software we developed works with single-channel headsets, which means it can be used anywhere easily. For example, sportspersons can register their signals at the gym or even at home and see the analyses of their brain signals in the software; however, they had to refer to a clinic in old methods,” the senior executive director said.
As Yousefi noted, the software can be used to control the sleepiness of train drivers and improve brain performance in professional athletes.
