IS militants try to leave Syria and Iraq – UN

Almaty. October 5. Silkroadnews – The IS terrorist organization militants are trying to leave Syria and Iraq and transfer their funds to other regions, in particular, to Southeast Asia, chairman of the UN Security Council Committee on Anti-Terrorism Sanctions Kairat Umarov said, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
Foreign terrorist-militants are trying to leave Iraq and Syria as immigrants, thus, creating new threats to the world community, K. Umarov said meeting with representatives of security and law enforcement agencies of foreign partners of the Russian Federal Security Service in Krasnodar on Wednesday.
Referring to data of the UN Security Council Committee on sanctions against the IS, K. Umarov noted, the organization is trying to transfer funds from Syria and Iraq to other regions to prepare for a possible military defeat in the conflict zone and continue its activities in other areas across the world.
He also added, potential strengthening of the ISIS-backed forces in Afghanistan is a subject of serious concern, as poses a serious threat to the security of both Afghanistan and the countries of the region, including Central Asia.
The global threat from ISIS changes taking new forms, K. Umarov said.
