Italy will provide $2 billion for the financial and insurance support of Iranian projects

Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - Italy will provide financial and insurance support for the implementation of industrial and infrastructure projects in Iran in the amount of $2 billion, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
A memorandum of understanding was signed in Tehran between the Italian Mediobank, Italy's Ministry of Economic Development and state export credit agency SACE SpA on the one hand, and the Ministry of Economy and the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other.
In a special statement of Mediobank in this regard stresses that one of the main objectives of the agreement - "to promote further development of economic and commercial relations between the two countries".
According to the representative of the Iranian government, the implementation of the document will start immediately after the lifting of the international sanctions against Iran. As part of the agreement Mediobank's role will be to provide the Iranian side the long-term credit for specific projects, and SACE SpA will provide their insurance support.
