Japan to provide Uzbekistan with $2.3 million to train the specialists
Almaty. October 11. Silkroadnews - The Japanese government has allocated a gratuitous $2.3 million grant to Uzbekistan within the framework of the scholarships project to train specialists, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) informs.
Yesterday, on October 10, Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Nobuaki Ito and Chairman of the State Committee for Investments Azim Akhmedkhadjaev signed exchange notes in this regard in Tashkent.
The allocated funds to be directed to recruit students for studying at the leading universities in Japan in 2018, among them there will be 15 masters and 2 doctoral students, the Japanese embassy in Uzbekistan said.
The project, report says, will allow specialists responsible for the future of Uzbekistan to acquire professional knowledge to be further used to develop the economy and society of Uzbekistan, deepen the understanding of the Land of the Rising Sun, and contribute to further friendly relations strengthening between the two countries.
