Japan will increase funding for development programs in Afghanistan

Almaty. May 13. Silkroadnews - Japan will increase financial and technical assistance to Afghanistan for the construction of small irrigation dams and strengthen the economic potential of the country as a whole, said on Tuesday Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Takahashi in Kabul at the meeting with the special envoy of President of Afghanistan Ahmad Zia Massoud, transmits IrTAG.
At the meeting, the Japanese Ambassador informed that his country is determined to open a new chapter in relations with the Afghan government and the implementation of their projects in the country.
He stressed the long-term nature of the cooperation of his country with Afghanistan, coupled with the further consolidation of economic relations and the implementation of agricultural development projects.
A.Z.Massoud, praised Japan's role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan as significant, and said that the national unity government fully supports the development projects of Japan in IRA.
