Kalzhat customs and logistics center is opened at the Kazakhstani-Chinese border
Almaty. October 11. Silkroadnews – Kalzhat customs and logistics center is opened at the Kazakhstani-Chinese border, press-service of “Eurotransit” LLP reports.
“Today, the official opening of the up-to-date Kalzhat customs and logistics center at the Kazakh-Chinese border has taken place. This center will help increase the volume of goods exchange and boost the transport and transit potential of the republic,” press-release says.
According to the customs officials, the construction of the transport and logistics infrastructure at the border will ensure the growth of export-import freight traffic and will promote greater transparency, the development of cross-border trade and entrepreneurship.
Besides, “the upgrading of customs centers implies the development of the transit potential of the entire Customs Union (CU) by creating a near-customs infrastructure, whose use will make it possible to cheapen and speed up the transportation of goods from Southeast Asia to the territory of the CU, as well as to Western Europe,” deputy chairman of the Committee of state revenues Gosman Amrin is quoted saying.
“The work of the center is built on the single-window principle with all services provided in an accelerated mode, and conditions for entrepreneurs and participants in the foreign economic activity created. The new information system will provide enormous time-saving for entrepreneurs who will be able to get both a wide range of services for sorting, storing and marking of goods, and will enjoy a recreation room or a business room with the Internet and working conditions during the time needed for the service provision,” said Erlan Dikhanbaev, Director of Eurotransit LLP.
The completion of the construction of the entire complex of transport and logistics centers (TLC) will completely solve problems of the logistics infrastructure efficiency at the border. Kalzhat, Bakhty, Dostyk, Khorgos, Altynkol and Maykapchagay, providing a wide range of services for handling goods and traffic flows and customs processing of goods, will help accelerate the integration of Kazakhstan into the international global transport and logistics system.
In the future, the development of the near-border transportation and logistics infrastructure in Kazakhstan will lead to the creation of the largest logistics system in Eurasia.
The project is implemented on the basis of the public-private partnership of the Committee of State Revenues of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Eurotransit LLP.
