Kazakh member of Syrian terrorist group sentenced for 7 years in Almaty

Almaty. May 28. Silkroadnews - Kamil Abdulin, a Kazakh citizen, who was a member of  Syrian terrorist organisation, was sentenced in Almaty. He was charged for setting up, managing and participating in activities of a terrorist group. He was also charged for propaganda of terrorism, public calls for someone to commit an act of terrorism, as well as for incitement of social, national, tribal, racial and religious hatred.
"K. A. Abdulin was sentenced for 7 years in medium security correction facility", Almaty City Court informed.
"Abdulin K. A. has been a member of "Old Turkestan" mononational terrorist group. While being in this group, Abdulin K. A. received military training, learnt to fire arms. In line with strict rules of the group, he got nicknamed "Abuzar" for conspiratorial purposes", the press document states.
He moved to Syria in May 2013 taking his family with him. There, he recorded a video titled "Kazakh Mujahideen in Sham", in which he encouraged Kazakhstanis to participate in jihad. Kamil Abdulin returned to Kazakhstan in the end of 2013. He was then arrested.
