Kazakhstan agreed with China on the export of wheat bran

Astana. March 31. Silkroadnews – During the visit to China Kazakhstani delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov met with Zhi Shuping, Minister of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China, the ministry’s press service reported.
“The parties discussed a number of important issues regarding removal of restrictions and access of Kazakhstani agricultural products to the Chinese market. The Chinese side confirmed the holding in April of this year the inspection on the production of meat-mutton and meat processing industry for inclusion to the register of the supply companies operating in China”, the ministry’s report said.
Thus, the sides will facilitate the procedures to coordinate the draft protocols of veterinary and phytosanitary requirements for 34 product names to be exported from Kazakhstan to China. The Kazakhstani side initiated the issue of creating joint laboratories in the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide quality control and safety of agricultural products, as well as carrying out their accreditation.
The meeting resulted in signing a protocol on the requirements for inspection, quarantine and sanitary requirements for export of wheat bran between the countries. Through this agreement, as the Ministry of Agriculture reported, Kazakhstani businessmen for the first time had the opportunity to export wheat bran to the Chinese market.
