Kazakhstan and China signed a number of documents

Astana. September 2. Silkroadnews – During his working visit to China the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, held a meeting with the chairman of China Xi Jinping, the press service of the head of state reported.

«Our ties serve as an example of inter-state relations. We have created an absolute model of strategic partnership and raised our economic cooperation up to a new level. The governments of Kazakhstan and China work actively to realize the tasks set on the basis of the agreements reached. This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, next year – the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries. This is a very important date», President said in a message posted on the official website of Akorda on Friday.

The talks covered a wide range of bilateral issues, including the prospects of strengthening cooperation in trade, economic, investments, transit and transport, fuel and energy, as well as cultural and humanitarian fields.

Two leaders also exchanged views on a number of the most pressing issues of regional and international agenda.

In his turn, the President of the People's Republic of China noted that «it is necessary to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen strategic coordination to jointly build our relations in the spirit of sincerity, mutual trust, solidarity and mutual assistance».

Thus, summarizing the results of the talks the sides have signed a protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and China dated May,17, 2004, on the establishment of China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee; plan of cooperation on integration of programs «Nurly Zhol» and «The Silk Road Economic Belt»; protocol on quarantine and health requirements for the equine animals Kazakhstan exports to China between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC; as well as the protocol between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC on the phytosanitary requirements for Kazakhstan's export of soybeans to China.
