Almaty. October 1. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan and the United States will establish a joint venture for the production of coalbed methane in the Karaganda coal basin, reports KazTAG citing Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliev.
"We are currently conducting a program for the gasification of coal bed methane. "KTG" plans to carry out this work, they create a joint venture with one of the leading American companies, and plans to drill wells in the Karaganda coal basin. If we do not have bad results, then I think such unconventional methods for the extraction of the gas will be developed in Kazakhstan", - said M.
