Kazakhstan can become a supplier of nuclear fuel for the Saudi Arabia nuclear power plant

Astana. April 28. Silkroadnews – The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid Al-Falih visited the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Friday, press office of Kazakhstani ministry reported.

“Discussion covered the issues of two states’ cooperation development in such areas as: realization of joint oil and gas chemical projects; expansion of cooperation in nuclear industry; study the possibility of cooperation in provision of Saudi Arabia nuclear power stations with fuel delivery and sharing experience in the uranium deposits and technologies development”, press release said.

Also, taking into account the current potential of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of renewable energy sources, the parties will consider the possibility of cooperation in sharing experience in realization of the joint projects, as well as effective systems for supporting the renewable energy industry.
