Kazakhstan does not agree on more funding for Chu-Talas irrigation system
Almaty. March 20. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan does not allocate sufficient resources to Chu-Talas irrigation system, reports KyrTAG citing the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"The funds allocated by Kazakhstan in the share of the repair and reconstruction of irrigation facilities, are not enough. As a result, the objects decay. By means of these facilities Kazakhstan receives irrigation water",- said the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic on Friday.
Last year, Kyrgyzstan proposed to increase participation, which is provided in the form of work and materials from 65 million tenge to 110 million, but the Kazakh side refused and this year allocated 75 million, 15 million of which will be spent on civil works at the Kirov reservoir and 60 million - on Ortho-Tokoy reservoir in Chui region.
