Astana. May 19. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan forwarded over USD 2.96 mln and KZT 379.3 mln in humanitarian aid to other countries from 2013 to 2014 so far, as Ministry of Emergency Situations informs.
“The Ministry has offered its humanitarian assistance to 6 countries that were suffering from large-scale natural hazards within the reporting period”, as Minister Vladimir Bozhko states in his report that was distributed in Parliament.
As noted, nearly USD 978 000 in food were forwarded to Guatemala, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka in 2013.
“National material reserve has allocated the total of USD 1 985 917 in food products as an official humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in 2014”, the report states.
