Kazakhstan has put into operation the largest in the Central Asian transport and logistics center
Almaty. November 13. Silkroadnews - In the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana put into operation the largest in the Central Asian transport and logistics center, reports Trend.
"The center will provide comprehensive storage services with a full cycle of the multi-modal logistics. The center has dry storage area of 29.3 thousand square meters, climate warehouse area of 13.3 thousand square meters, the distribution center area of 25 thousand square meters, the container yard area of 70 thousand square meters", - says the publication.
It is noted that automation infrastructure accompanies the process in real time. Using advanced technology allows to significantly improve the level and speed of the operations of loading and unloading goods and handle up to one million tonnes of cargo a year.
The transport and logistics centers in Astana organized by the shipping and receiving of goods from trains to cars and back. It 5 km sidings summed directly to the warehouses.
As part of the plan, transport and logistics centers will be built in other major cities of Kazakhstan: Aktobe, Pavlodar, Almaty, Uralsk, Atyrau, Kostanai, Semei.
By the end of this year will be completed the construction of transport and logistics center in Shymkent.
