Kazakhstan in 2014 increased imports of meat from Brazil to 18.3%

Astana. February 2. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan in 2014 imported 6.7 thousand tons of meat from Brazil totaling $9.1 million, which is 18.3% increase in volume and 43.8% in amount than in 2013, reported the Customs Committee control of the Ministry of Finance.
As noted in the published data, excluding the countries of the Customs Union in 2014, Kazakhstan imported 169.1 thousand tons of meat worth $196.5 million, which is 6.7% less in quantity and 7.7% on the amount than in 2013.
Major suppliers of meat in Kazakhstan were: the United States, Ukraine, Poland, Canada.
