Kazakhstan intends to apply the experience of the Iranian marine fish farming

Almaty. July 17. Silkroadnews -  Mangistau region of Kazakhstan intends to apply Iranian experience in marine fish breeding, reports KazTAG citing the deputy akim of industrial-innovative development Rakimbek Amrzhanov.
According to the deputy akim of the area, a great interest arouses the creation in the Caspian Sea trout breeding farms.
Currently, Iran has a program for the production of fish in sea cages. As part of this program for the period up to 2025, Iran plans to increase production of sturgeon, caviar, kutum, trout and shrimp - up to 80 thousand tons per year. Note that Caspian trout is 2 times bigger in size than freshwater species.
As the analysis of the market, the demand for fish products is growing. So, until the end of this year, Iran will supply to Russia about 28 thousand tons of seafood, including 6 thousand tons of trout. In addition to Russia, in the supply of Caspian fish products from Iran are interested the countries of the Caucasus and Western Europe.
