Kazakhstan is suggested to be included to the World Bank report on the development of agribusiness

Almaty. February 29. Silkroadnews - First Deputy Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev suggested including Kazakhstan in the report of the World Bank “Enabling the Business of Agriculture” (“The development of agri-business”), the press service of the Prime Minister reports.
“Bakytzhan Sagintayev suggested including Kazakhstan in the World Bank report “Enabling the Business of Agriculture” (“The development of agri-business”),”- the information says.
As noted, such a proposal was made during a meeting with the newly appointed World Bank country manager for Kazakhstan Ato Brown.
    “The results of the study will enable the government to analyze and reduce the existing administrative barriers to business in agriculture, to make changes to existing programs of agricultural development taking into account the successful experience of foreign countries on the basis of the independent experts’ recommendations, to use more efficiently the budgetary funds allocated for the support of agriculture,” – the message explains.
In addition, according to the press service, it will allow evaluation of the central and local executive bodies’ performance to support the domestic agricultural producers in the regions.
“The sides have discussed the projects implemented in Kazakhstan with the support of the World
Bank as well as reforms to improve our country’s position in the ranking of “Doing Business”, - stated in the information.
The first report “Enabling the Business of Agriculture” was published on January 28, 2016. It analyzes the regulatory mechanisms in 40 countries through 10 thematic areas.
