Kazakhstan ratified memorandum with Turkey on supporting the exercises

Almaty. March 17. Silkroadnews – The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law on ratification of the memorandum with Turkey on assistance to the country hosting the exercises by special forces units, the press service of the head of state said.

As KazTAG reported earlier, the memorandum clarifies the standards, types, levels and methods of the assistance the hosting country provided the sending country with during the exercise.

According to the memorandum provisions, during the exercise the hosting country assists in the deployment of the sending nation’s units in specific areas and localities; permits the subdivisions of the sending nation to use the airspace, railways, auto roads of hosting country for delivery, transportation within the country, export of equipment, weapons and ammunition.

The hosting state also provides at no charge weapons, materiel, equipment and ammunition; provides the sending nation’s divisions with accommodation and meals free of charge and of the same quality as its personnel is provided with; also provides the sending nation’s subdivision with fuel, food, vehicles, communications and medical services as required.

In turn, the units of the sending nation comply with the legislation of the hosting country and follow the detailed procedures provided for in the exercise plan.

The memorandum was signed in Ankara in 2016.
