Kazakhstan ratified the agreement on the conservation of marine biological resources of the Caspian Sea

Astana. July 17. Silkroadnews - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a law "On ratification of the agreement on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological resources of the Caspian Sea", - said KazTAG citing the press service of the head of state.
According to the agreement, the parties undertake joint fishing of marine biological resources, based on the total allowable catch and national quota, determined on the basis of uniform criteria established by the Commission, common control measures, mutual commitment to combat illegal fishing and steps to reproduce.
According to the document, the commercial fishing of sturgeon and their mouths performed in the rivers, as well as in sea areas established by the decision of the Commission, taking into account the traditional fishing methods of each of the States parties. Each party shall appoint one representative to the committee and his deputy. For the meeting of the Commission requires the presence of representatives of all parties. Commission decisions are taken unanimously by representatives of the parties and shall be done in writing.
