Kazakhstan ratified the protocol to the agreement with Uzbekistan on border crossings

Astana. April 24. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan has ratified the protocol to the agreement with Uzbekistan on Border checkpoint, reported the press office of the President.
"President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law "On ratification of the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the crossing points of the Kazakh-Uzbek border on September 4, 2006",- said in a statement on the site of Akorda on Friday.
Ratification of the protocol will allow to legislate railway checkpoint Mahtaaral in the list of Kazakh-Uzbek border crossing points. In addition, the protocol provides reduction of number of road checkpoints from 10 to 6.
