Kazakhstan reduced the import of Ukrainian meat by 63% in January-July

Astana. August 28. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan reduced the import of fresh, frozen and chilled meat from Ukraine in January-July 2014 to 6 324.8 thousand tons for $11 million, which is 63% less in quantity and 64.8% less in cost than the same period in 2013, reported KazTAG with reference to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance.
As noted in the published data, excluding the countries of the Customs Union, Kazakhstan reduced meat imports in January-July 2014 to 57.7 thousand tons for $70.4 million, which is 33.6% less in quantity and 28.1% less in amount than 7 months in 2013
The largest suppliers of meat in Kazakhstan are the United States and Ukraine.
Recall, Kazakhstan plans to export in 2016 60 thousand tonne of beef.
