Kazakhstan’s cargo turnover grew 0.5% in 2016

Almaty. January 13. Silkroadnews – In 2016 cargo turnover in Kazakhstan grew 0.5% compared to 2015, the Committee on statistics under the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan says.
According to statistical data, volume index in “transport” sector reached 103.8% in 2016.
“Volume of cargo turnover in January-December 2016 amounted to 514.7 billion tonne-kilometers (based on turnover volume assessment of individual entrepreneurs operating in commercial transportation) or 100.5% compared to January-December 2015. The volume of passenger turnover reached 264.1 billion passenger-kilometers, meaning +4% growth”, the statement said on Friday.
